Checking In at U Street Capsule Hostel Welcome to our flagship location! To make your arrival as smooth as possible, please have the Goki App installed. Depending on when you arrive, you have two easy ways to get your keys:
In-Person (8 AM – 1 PM & 6 PM – 10 PM): Our front desk team is ready to welcome you, show you the cafe, and help you to the elevator.
Self-Check-In (Anytime!): Arriving during our mid-afternoon break or late at night? No problem.
How to Self-Check-In:
Skip the Wait: Visit our Arrival Page online before you even get here.
At the Door: Simply scan the QR code located by our front entrance.
Instant Access: Once your balance is settled (we process payments on your arrival morning), your digital keys will appear instantly in your Goki App.
Checking Out
Checking out is simple! With our Goki system you are automatically checked out of your space at 11:00AM so be sure to have your luggage and personal belongings removed.
Luggage
Travel Light at U Street Don’t let your bags hold you back! Whether you arrive early or have a late flight, we offer convenient luggage drop-off before and after your stay.
The Quick Drop: Simply head to the first floor near the check-in desk. You’ll see our Luggage Drop-Off area—just look for the sign!
Pro Tip: Make sure you have your luggage front door code handy so you can easily swing back in to grab your gear.
Extra Security: Need a more secure option? Just speak with our staff, and they will be happy to assist you with our locked luggage storage.
Brew On U Cafe
Coffee? Right This Way! ☕ Head down to the first floor to visit Brew On U, our on-site cafe.
Guest Perk: Show your key or mention you’re staying with us for a 10% discount.
Bonus Savings: Open your Goki App to unlock secret deals reserved strictly for our patrons.
It’s the best way to start your day before heading out to explore the historic U Street corridor!
Parking
Parking can be a pain due to the proximity to U Street. So we highly encourage our guests to use the Spot Me App that can be found at the provided links below for your device.
Events
We offer a range of events both paid and free for our guests. They can be found on the Goki App! Just scroll down to the bottom and you will see them listed.
Laundry
Fresh Laundry, No Stress Need to refresh your wardrobe? Our washer and dryer facilities are available for guest use every day after 3 PM. You’ll find them on the ground level, conveniently located on the way to the shared showers.
The Deal: We operate on a $5 honor system per load.
Easy Payment: Simply scan the QR code link posted right next to the machines to pay.
Everything Included: No need to run to the store—we provide high-efficiency, great-smelling detergent and fabric softeners. Feel free to use them!

Experience Our Newest Destination: I Street Capsule Hostel Opened in 2025, our newest location at 512 I Street NW is the ultimate home base for exploring the capital. Situated in the absolute center of downtown DC, it offers a sleek, modern take on the capsule experience.
If we’re fully booked at U Street, we’d love to welcome you to I Street! You’ll be within walking distance of the National Mall, the Smithsonian museums, and the Capital One Arena.
